Richard is a resident of Darby for over 50 years. He has resided at 216 Mulberry Street in his family's home for more than half a century! He graduated from our own Darby Colwyn High School in 1965.

Richard has been involved in many community activities where his talent and expertise was appreciated and needed by the community.

His employment as an Event Promoter with Sunoco Welcome America has helped to bring many Darby children to places and events they would not have the opportunity to participate in.

For many years, Richard connected the Darby Community with the Boscov's/Channel 6 Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Sunoco Welcome America 4th of July Celebrations in Philadelphia.

Richard organized groups of Darby residents to participate in both parades as instrumental participants. Through his coordination of the events, many Darby Children were able to attend sports functions with the Philadelphia Teams such as the 76ers, Flyers, Phillies etc.

Always keeping in mind the needs of Darby Borough and it's youth, Richard consistently promotes the youth of our town and always affords them the opportunities to participate in local events to enhance and expand their formative years.

Richard served in the United States Navy and was stationed aboard the USS Wright.
