To my fellow Carsonians,

Some have claimed expertise in managing assets and investing millions of dollars of the City's funds. Yet one of the most important indicators of good financial management is a BALANCED BUDGET. While it is the City Council who approves expenditures, it is the TREASURER's job to provide sound advice in ensuring that the City's EXPENDITURES are balanced with City REVENUES. Carson has not had a balanced budget for at least 5 years and I have committed myself to be the candidate who will run with a platform of STEWARDSHIP, INTEGRITY, TRANSPARENCY and ACCESSIBILITY. If elected I shall immediately undertake the following measures;

1. Remove the WALLS around the City Treasurer's Office and provide an unprecedented era of transparency with clear, open quarterly reports on the City's financial condition
2. Ensure that all investments have calculated minimal risks with maximum investment returns
3. Conduct regular forums with the community and all stakeholders on the Finance Department's operational capabilities and access programs
4. Dialogue more consistently with City Councilmembers on the impact of the programs and projects under their consideration

I fully believe that Accountability, Transparency, Accessibility are indispensable components of any leadership that claims INTEGRITY. My entire life is anchored on these principles and together with your vote, we will make Carson shine. Thank you and God bless you and your families.
