MISSION STATEMENTBy David L. MargraveCandidate for Council Member; City of South Pasadena | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Leadership is one of those things we do as volunteers without realizing we've done it. Working to help people improve their lives and community can be difficult at times but is always rewarding. I know I've accomplished many positive things and will continue to help people regardless of the March election.DAVID L. MARGRAVE Age: 58 Occupation: Councilman, Contractor, Investor Promises Made - Promises Kept For 30 years, I have chosen South Pasadena to raise my family, build a business, and contribute to the Community. Elected to Council in 2003, I have: ▪ Firmly opposed the 710 Freeway, ▪ Improved City Services and infrastructure (e.g., critical water storage/distribution system upgrades, Orange Grove improvements), ▪ Balanced City's budget without sacrificing essential services, ▪ Collaborated with citizen groups to mitigate noise violations from Gold Line and to rebuild Garfield Park Youth House. In my next term, I commit to: ▪ Improve streets, parks, air quality, street safety, water/sewer lines, youth/senior services, ▪ Preserve small-town character, ▪ Fight the 710 Freeway, ▪ Extend Gold Line to Ontario Airport. I pledge to continue real, tangible results; I will not seek higher political office. I offer my experience, time (30+ hours/week) and passion to make South Pasadena even better. Leadership:
