A person becomes a leader when he/she demonstrates characteristics that others wish to follow.
Leaders are not `self-appointed'. A person becomes a leader when he/she demonstrates characteristics that others wish to follow. Most of the current council approached me to become a candidate. Their trust in me is based upon their observations of my involvement in the Bellflower Kiwanis Club (holding positions as Board Member, Treasurer, President, Silent Auction Chairman and Kiwanian of the Year), in the Chamber of Commerce (Board Member), as a Past R.O.P. Advisor for Bellflower High School and as Planning Commissioner (8 years) - including 2 terms as Chairman.
