As I am the only candidate that has been actively involved in raising money for the North Branch Library I am happy to report that the Mayor and City Council, City Staff, and the community are fully behind this endeavor. The fundraising for this project is moving right along. Currently, the Library Foundation has raised nearly $800,000 and the city has allocated over $1,700,000. We are now in the home stretch and we need to raise the remaining funds. This must be accomplished though the processes that are currently in place such as the direct campaign, the Putting on the Ritz dinner, and the Dolphin Dash. As a councilmember, I will continue to support the current fundraising measures and look for alternative sources from the city, county, state, and federal agencies. With the entire community behind this goal it is just a matter of time and some money to make this a reality. |
