Meredith is our COMMUNITY candidate for Community College District Trustee.

OCCUPATION: Business Executive

I am proud to have the endorsement of District Board Chair Mary Anne Rooney.

A Ventura resident, I am Past Chair of the Ventura County Arts Commission and have spent many years in community service in leadership roles with such organizations as the National Women's Political Caucus, Rotary International, and The HeArt Project, an innovative arts program for at-risk teen-agers.

Professionally, I have been both an entrepreneur and a business executive, most recently managing a local real estate firm. That experience, coupled with my law school education, has taught me the value of collaboration, creative problem-solving and fiscal accountability.

I also have the heart of an educator. I am from a family of teachers and my own undergraduate and graduate studies were fostered in public universities.

As a trustee, my priorities are to support strategic planning, ensure fiscally responsible use of bond funds, seek new and innovative sources of revenue, and empower a positive campus environment where ALL students are encouraged to learn and excel.
