A Candidate for Working People.

(This is the text found on the home page of my campaign website at http://www.talebforassembly.org )

Jon Taleb is a Perris elementary school teacher who lives in Joshua Tree. She is very concerned about the condition of California's educational system, and she supports the Peace and Freedom Party's call for a quality free education for all from preschool to the university level. Like many teachers, she is also concerned about the families of her students, and she wants to help improve the conditions of life for the working people of California.

Jon Taleb is a peace candidate. She believes that ending this terrible needless war is the first thing we need to do. But working people need much more than that.

Higher wages, full employment, decent housing, good medical care for all - these are some of the things working people need, and the Peace and Freedom Party favors. The two big-money parties make noises about some of these issues, too, but refuse to do what is needed to make them a reality.

The wealthy and their corporations have plenty of representatives in Sacramento - don't workers deserve at least one?
