Candidate for
Board Member; Rincon Valley Union School District

I am pleased to have the opportunity to seek reelection to the Board of the Rincon Valley Union School District. During the past 8 years that I have served on the Board, we have continued to pursue the district goals of creating an outstanding educational environment for all of our children.

To accomplish the goal of educational excellence, we have implemented a standards based curriculum, effectively trained staff, expanded offerings in music, enrichment classes, and extra-curricular activities.

As a part of my commitment to educational excellence, I have worked with the Board and district to maintain fiscally sound budget practices. Due to the diligent work of district staff and Board oversight, Rincon Valley has been able to preserve the educational and operational integrity of the district while other districts have been forced to reduce these investments. This has allowed the district to continue to improve our academic programs, provide for the excellent district staff and maintain district facilities.

I hope to have the opportunity to continue to serve the Rincon Valley community for the next four years.
