We need to prepare our children to meet the demands of an ever changing environment.
Many of today's students will enter a local job market where they will compete with applicants educated elsewhere. Many of today's students will move to other parts of the state or country to search for work. Our children need to be educated to succeed whether they remain local or travel to distant areas. The education we offer our children must be both broad and deep to allow them to succeed no matter where they are. They need to learn how to learn so that they can adapt to the ever changing world around them.
