I am running for the SRJC Board of Trustees because after 22 years I feel it is a time for a change in representation for Western Sonoma County. I will bring a vision more characteristic of West County residents and help make SRJC a shining example for building a sustainable future, one that incorporates the highest environmental standards from construction to the day-to-day operations of SRJC. I will work to ensure that we hire locally and use apprentices for our public works construction projects so we can extract the most economic benefit from our tax bonds. I will listen to and work in cooperation with our neighbors in the proper planning and land use of all JC properties. I will continue to advocate for sound financial responsibility and create the type of educational opportunities that translate into sustainable employment. I will assist in finding creative ways to improve working conditions for adjunct faculty and rank and file workers at SRJC. I will seriously address the severe lack of affordable student housing both on and off campus. If you share my vision the choice is clear. It's time for a change!
