Candidate for
Board Member; Cloverdale Unified School District

I am running for the Cloverdale Unified School District Governing Board because I feel the board lacks financial expertise. I have been a resident of Cloverdale for 23 years and have attended the local schools, graduating from Cloverdale High School in 1977. I am married and currently have two children attending schools in the district.

I have been working in private industry for over 20 years managing budgets of similar size as the district. Over the past few years, I have been regularly attending the board meetings and have observed questionable financial decision-making. The current school board has strong educational expertise but lacks comprehensive financial knowledge. I amrunning to balance the board with the experience needed to assist in the management of the district which will insure a proper education for our children.

I have been a member of the CUSD Budget Advisory Committee, am currently the auditor for the Cloverdale High School PTSA, and have regularly attended the school board meetings for the past four years.

I am looking forward to serving you on the Cloverdale Unified School District Governing Board.
