Smart Voter Political Philosophy for John W. Harris

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Manteca

This information is provided by the candidate

My entire adult life has been spent helping people and helping to solve problems. Because I'm retired, my full-time job has been working as your city councilman.

During the next four years, I will work hard to bring more jobs to Manteca by supporting more commercial and industrial developments. As current chairman of the San Joaquin Council of Governments, I will continue to work on congestion relief projects, the I205 widening, improvements to our highway 120 Bypass corridor, and expansion of mass transit programs.

I am concerned about the quality of life in Manteca. I want to see more parks for family recreation, to build a new library, and to offer after-school programs for our children. As a retired peace officer, I know the importance of having more police on our streets and adequate staffing for our fire department.

I want to continue as your full-time councilman and would appreciate your support.
