One of our biggest challenges will be to reinstate trust between the district, the board, the teachers and classified employees. We must become a teacher, classified and student friendly district. Our district must investigate ways to provide more opportunities for student learning. Mandated test scores and graduation rates must improve along with our providing more electives in the arts, music, agriculture, industrial technology, computer technology and physical education classes. We must hire and retain quality staff that directly affect student learning. Over the past several years we have lost quality staff to other districts. We must investigate why and then provide solutions to retain these individuals.
