In this new age of technology, being able to access information is key to learning about the way the world works.
We need to continue to increase access to technology resources for both students and staff. Technology is continuously changing and always expensive! We need to invest in long-term strategies to make technology an integrated part of the education system, both for learning as well as teaching and supporting the school system. That will take advocating for funding from sources beyond what's available from standard state resources. It means partnerships with the technology community to support the efforts of teachers to find ways to make learning come alive to today's students. Cajon Valley has been the recipient of wonderful partnerships with Qualcomm and Cox Cable, to name just two, at several local schools. We need to continue to build upon these partnerships to bring new strategies for teaching and learning to each classroom in the district.
