Dual magnet High SchoolBy Carol Weise HerreraCandidate for Board Member; Vista Unified School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Vista must relieve serious high school overcrowdingPresently each of our two high schools house over 3000 students on campuses built for 1800 students. Our present freshmen and sophomores will begin classes in the dual magnet high school in 2008if we begin to build now. Community members passed a bond in 2002 telling us that a high school was a priority. Future generations of students will continue to be impacted by this overacrowding and choose other options for their education if we don't build now! Our students deserve better! |
