I have been married for 21 years. My wife is a teacher for the Escondido Unified School District and I have two sons who attend Escondido Schools. I am a member of the Regional English Learners Advisory Committee and I have been involved with English Language Development meetings at my child's school and at the district level.
I am a candidate for the Escondido Union School District Board of Education because I am committed in supporting our children, parents, teachers and the community. I have a sincere interest in the education of English Language Learners. I would like to see standardized test scores improve for all Students and English Learners in all our schools. I am respectful about teachers suggestions and their expertise in the teaching field. I am prepared to work with parents and the community as a partnership for our childrens future. Most of all, I am passionate about moving in the right direction with a precious goal in mind and that is to improve education for EVERY child.
