Our water levels are dropping, I will vote to deny projects that would jeopardize it even further.
County is currently monitoring wells in our area. Many of these wells are showing a steady decline in water level. What will happen when the next drought hits if we have allowed development to double our water demand - how many more wells will dry up or large oak trees die? I promise to vote to deny any large massive projects that would further jeopardize our water. I believe people should be able to develop their land within reason, but not at the expense of their neighbors or our community and its rural character.
