Political Philosophy for Greg Barr
Candidate for |
I am a strong advocate for education. I know what works and what doesn't in the classroom. I know what teachers need to help their students and what administration needs to provide. I am attending Cuyamaca College this semester and have toured both campuses, talking with staff members. I find that all of their concerns are centered in creating a better educational environment. I am also a fiscal conservative and will support moderation in the use of taxpayer dollars. Taxpayers expect the vast majority of their funds to be used in the classroom. Now, almost 50% goes to bureaucracy. Finally, I strongly believe in open and shared governance. All stakeholders should know every step of the way, how decisions are being made and implemented. |
