As a parent I have enjoyed participating in and developing a broad understanding of our school district. I have volunteered in the Chula Vista Elementary School District as a classroom volunteer, PTO fundraiser, Olweus Bully Prevention Committee Member, School Safety Committee Member, School SITE Council Chair, and the District Budget Committee Member.

I have been married for 13 years and have five children. I care not only about the education of my children, but also of the children in my community. I have been a tireless advocate for special education. I have also been involved in Spanish Immersion Programming and have gained an understanding what children need in order to acquire language proficiency in a new language.
