Candidate for
City; City of Watsonville; Council District 6

I have been a resident of the Pajaro Valley for over 40 years, attending local schools, graduating from Watsonville High School & attending Cabrillo College. My family taught me the value of respect and to appreciate the value and opportunities afforded through education and hard work. I am married, and am the father of two daughters, both currently attending college.

I have been a volunteer in the community for over 14 years, working with the Latino Affairs Commission, community based organizations, local non-profits, and have worked on City projects in the past. I am a founding member of the Pajaro Valley Comunity Health Trust, serving for nearly 8 years in leadership roles on various committees, incluing the grants review committee, executive committee and currently serve as board chair. I am an ex-officio member of the Watsonville Community Hospital board of trustees. I participated and graduated from Focus Agri-Culture, class X, learning leadership skills and developing an understanding of our agricultural community and it's many challenges & contributions.

Watsonville is my home, If you share a vision for a strong, healthy community, please vote for Edward Din. I believe my leadership experience, as a community volunteer and through my employment history, my fiscal expertise, and desire to serve the residents of District 6 and the city as a whole, make me best qualified.

This campaign is about leadership, respect for the office and the constituents, it's about demonstrating responsibility in the decision making process, it's about a vision, for a better community. As a resident of District 6 I sought the appointment to replace Judy Doering-Nielsen, but was not selected by the current council. Now, November is upon us and you get to elect your representative.
