Education is a top value in our family. Whether it is reading about the latest technology or researching something that is of interest to us, we are always learning.

My background includes looking out for the best interests of all children, not just my own. My hard work on the Santa Clara Schools Foundation and the Bracher PTA indicates my desire to ensure every child has an equal opportunities to learn, grow, and be successful. I want to give all students the tools to be successful.

I would like to build on the current School Board's commitments to high standards. While these can be achieved through the acquisition of the fundamentals of literacy, math and science, the bar can be raised even higher by adding technology and the arts to the curriculum. Sallings Family

We as a district can achieve this higher standard. In order to do so we must both support our current staff and recruit quality teachers. In addition, we must do everything we can to encourage our parents and community members to become involved.

When I become a board member, I will be dedicated to working hand in hand with others to build on the success of the current board. I hope to help the school district as a whole focus more on making children and parents aware of all the resources available to them, and on empowering children to achieve.
