1. What experience related to city government would you bring to the City Council?
I am a nine year Planning Commissioner, and I have seen first hand how our city works to provide essential services to our community. As a former business owner I know how to handle budgetary challenges. And as a 28 year Reserve Police Officer, I have substantial public safety experience.2. What concerns are of particular importance to the city and how would you address them?
Traffic: Encourage mixed use and high density developments in the downtown areas near light rail. This will help alleviate and minimize traffic. Public Safety: Insuring that our citizens live and work in a safe environment with prompt police and fire protection must be our highest priority. Business: Make the business permit process easier and faster to encourage businesses to locate in Campbell. This will result in a healthier city budget, more jobs, and a more vibrant community.3. How would you balance the needs of the City as a whole with groups' interests?
Be a good listener and work with every sector of the community. As a planning commissioner I have learned the importance of hearing all sides of the issues, and I will carry this practice to the Council if I am elected.
