Candidate for
Council Member; City of Moreno Valley; Council District 2

I believe in our City and its great potential, and genuinely want to serve our community. My work experience in local government of nearly two decades is complemented by extensive training and education in public administration and governmental accounting. I worked for the City of Moreno Valley for eleven years, ultimately serving as Controller/Finance Division Manager. I also was Finance Director for the City of Perris and have provided management and accounting services on a contractual basis for other local cities. I have a thorough understanding of Moreno Valley's budgets, revenues, expenditures, and financial statements, having reviewed and prepared budgets, audits, and financials while in their employ.

I possess both Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Public Administration, a minor in Accounting, a UCR certificate in Governmental Accounting, and am a Certified Government Financial Manager by the Association of Government Accountants.

I have represented Visterra Credit Union's Supervisory Committee since 2002 and currently serve as committee Chairman. I am a member of Golden Key International Honour Society and the Association of Government Accountants.

I have lived in Moreno Valley since early 1984, and having young children, I have a true connection to families and their needs. My days are essentially the same as that of other growing families.

Being well qualified to represent the residents and businesses of my district, as well as all those in all of Moreno Valley, I support community involvement through outreach and open communication. I possess integrity, professionalism, leadership skills, and a common sense that comes with both maturity and an excellent combination of experience and education. This blend of experience, proven leadership, education, and specialized training allows me to quickly develop well-informed and independent decisions.
