PARENT PARTICIPATION "One of my goals is to continue to increase parent participation in the educational process. I will look for opportunities, support, information and training for parents to become involved. Parent involvement is a fundamental factor on student's achievement and academic success and we need to foment it."

RESOURCE ACCOUNTABILITY "I will actively participate with the board and the administration in the budgeting and monitoring process to ensure all resources available to the district be utilized properly, accurately, and exclusively for the educational benefits of our students, and improvement of our local educational system."

ROUNDED EDUCATION "I will stress the importance of providing opportunities for students to participate in the arts, music, sports, and extracurricular activities to motivate them to stay in school. We should reduce the drop-out rate and discipline problems to offer each student a rounded education in the pursuit of a brighter future."

MULTICULTURAL EDUCATION "Our district has a rich cultural diversity. We should understand it to maintain its unity. I will promote the implementation of appropriate steps to foster the better understanding appreciation, and respect of our diversity through a multicultural education for every student in our schools."
