Candidate for
City Clerk; City of Perris

Since moving to Perris in 1994, with my husband Shawn and our son Robert, our family has been dedicated to making Perris a better place to live. In that time I have educated myself on the issues and the workings of Perris. I had a belief and a passion that Perris had the potential to become a city that every resident would be proud to call home. In the years that I have lived here and participated in the process I have witnessed the city transform into that city. It has been a long hard road, but one that I am proud to say I was and am a part of. It has taken a dedicated City Council and outstanding city staff making, often times, difficult but necessary decisions. We continue to have goals to meet and implement and my hope is that the Citizen's of this City will allow me, with your vote on Nov. 7th, to continue in the position that I have come to love....City Clerk of Perris.

The office of the City Clerk is a vital function in the City. It is my goal to make this office user friendly and customer oriented. Customer Service is our #1 goal. With my wonderful staff (Glenda, Wita and Vicki) we are in the process of taking this office into the 21st Century. In the very near future the City's Municipal Code will be available on line and a copy will be placed in the library and is now available for viewing in the City Clerk's office. Currently the past 4 years documents (City Council Minutes, Ordinances and Resolutions) are available on line. We will be working on making all minutes, ordinances and resolutions dating back to the City's Incorporation in 1911 available and searchable. Our goal is to make the website interactive and informative and provide links to the various agencies that you may have need to visit or contact. You should be seeing these changes coming in the next several months. In the meantime, come and visit us! We would love to show you what the office of the City Clerk does for you, the citizen's of Perris.

My professional background includes 10 years in accounting and 7 years in education. For the past 11 years I have assisted my husband in running his business. My education includes 2 years at Santa Monica College.

I would be honored to receive your vote on Nov. 7th. If elected City Clerk, I will strive to uphold the integrity of this office and vow to perform the required duties in a diligent, honest and professional manner.
