Building Civic Pride and Public TrustBy Kathleen De RosaCandidate for Mayor; City of Cathedral City | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
My goal to adopt meaningful change is in progress............. focusing on the long term and having a vision of tomorrow. I have looked to not only recognize value, but also to create value in all we do. We are a city that builds and sustains relationships of mutual trust and respect with our residents, our business community and our developers. Downtown is beginning to evolve with new retail businesses, a new restaurant and residential homes, but this is just the beginning. My vision for the future is to move ahead with strategies and activities that make our downtown area a social and cultural anchor for both residents and visitors. I have worked to build mutual trust and respect by honoring our differences and our diversity. Leaders themselves do not necessarily do great things, but they inspire and empower others to do great things. My hope and vision for the future of Cathedral City is to continue to work to inspire others to identify our assets, assess our community needs, define who Cathedral City really is, build a good reputation for our City, embrace and reward our valued and dedicated staff, preserve our assets and be responsive to our citizens while honoring heritage and diversity. I look forward to continuing to build a mutually rewarding relationship with you the residents of Cathedral City. I am committed and dedicated to the success of our great City and will hold everyone accountable for our success. I ask all of you to join me and be a part of the vision so that together we can move Cathedral City into a brighter future. |
