Candidate for
Director; Ambrose Recreation and Park District

From 2001 to present I have served as an elected member of the Bay Point Municipal Advisory Council. During this time I have Chaired the Traffic Area Committe, and currently Chair the Council. I enjoy working in my community and serving the residents of Bay Point, providing input to the Project Area Committee and working with our Contra Costa County Sheriff's department to enhance the quality of life for all Bay Point Residents.

As a lifelong resident of Bay Point I grew up in the Walker family home in Shore Acres, where my Mother MaryJane still resides. I attended school at Shore Acres Elementary, Riverview Intermediate, and graduated in 1971 from Pacifica High School. I have actively sought to re-establish our closed High School in Bay Point. I feel it is unfair to our high school students to have to travel to Concord to attend High School.

I have been married to Glenn Zumwalt for 22 years and have 1 married daughter Rochelle, who was also raised and went to school in Bay Point. She too resides with her husband Mason in Bay Point.

As a graduate of St. Mary's College in Moraga I received both my Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration, and my Bachelor of Arts in Management.

I have been employed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan for the last 15 years. My responsibilities as an Associate Director in the National Medicare Finance department include human resources, budgeting, and project management of multi-million dollar information technology systems.

For relaxation I enjoy traveling, reading, playing with my two standard poodles, doing public service events involving Amateur Radio and I am an Extra Class licensed Amateur Radio operator. I love to sing and cantor at my church every week.
