Member, City Council; City of Hercules

- Develop a solid working relationship with fellow council members, city staff, police and fire agencies and create measures to promote smart growth, reduce traffic and congestion, maintain quality public services and protect our community of family, friends and neighbors.

- Work with local businesses, staff and City Council to develop methods and ordinances to ensure our environment is cared for and kept green for future generations.

- Vigorously support the ideas presented by members of our community, which were set forth in the 2000 Charette process, to get the plans back on track to bring much needed quality shops and restaurants to Hercules.

- Ensure that our Police and Fire Departments are properly staffed, trained and equipped, including preparedness training for emergency operations.

- Adopt a plan of action for our transit stations to avert crime and improve pedestrian safety.

- Work with fellow council members to develop the plans for Hercules Point Park.

- Work with West Contra Costa Unified School district on building new schools and obtaining our fair share of Measure J funds to rebuild our schools that are in need.

- Support further growth of senior housing, services, and activities.
