Candidate for Director; Mount View Sanitary District

Achieving a State Wide Recognized District.
Elected to Board Member position 1993.

Was on the board for Planning and Startup of the UV system in November of 1994.

The MVSD educational program for local schools startup in 1992. This program is funded through grants and donations. The program has since evolved to include an "Interpretive Center" for students to learn and participate and is currently looking to expand it reach of education to other districts.

Partnered with Central Contra Costa Sanitary District (CCCSD) to provide Contra Costa County with first permanently located Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility in 1997.

District obtained Conservation Easement with the East Bay Regional Parks District for the McNabney Marsh in Spring of 2000.

While on board have successfully negotiated several leases that provide financial resources for the district.

Negotiated garbage franchise agreement.

Been involved with the district receiving numerous Association Awards such as: California Water Environmental Association San Francisco Bay Section's Treatment Plant of the year in 1995, 1996, 1998, 2001 and 2005. Their section and their State level Public Education Award for Small Budget in 1996 for Interpretive Center Program. Their Section Public Education Award for 2005. Their Engineering Achievement Award in 1995. California Association of Sanitation Agencies 2001 Public Service Award for Public Education Award.
