Position Papers
Residential Water Quality Improvements
I would like to see the CSD explore ways to continue improving the quality of our drinking water. While we have come a long way in improving the quality and taste of our water with the construction of 2 separate water treatment and storage plants, there is still more that can be done.
Economic Developement for our Town and Residents
While there are many top issues facing our growing community, such as economic growth and infrastructure development, a balance of jobs vs. housing, and traffic, I believe that currently the economic development and community planning is at the forefront and a top priority for Discovery Bay.
Completion of Community Center and Youth Facilities
We need to complete the Town's Community Center project. We must also include sports and recreational facilities for our children in the Center's vision. Clearly we need to support our youth's recreational needs as a priority. It is essential that a community has a public facility to gather and host community functions and group events for all ages and abilities.
