I'm honored to have served as your Councilmember for the past four years. I've been an accessible, hard working, hands-on leader and a voice of reason for all residents. Pleasant Hill is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. I've worked hard to make it even better.

As Mayor in 2004-2005, I held regular office hours and established Pleasant Hill's Annual Community Service Day. My efforts improved our working relationships with the Mt. Diablo Unified School District, the Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District, our business community, and the County.

As a Councilmember, I strive for improved public safety, traffic and public services, while maintaining fiscal responsibility. Preserving our neighborhoods, maintaining our small-town atmosphere, and meeting the needs of our residents are my priorities. I want to develop partnerships to provide better library services, enhanced educational opportunities, and a new senior center.

I am asking for your support on November 7th. I would be honored to have your vote. Together we can continue to accomplish great things for our city.

Thank you.

Sincerely, Michael Harris
