Among Letters to the Editor of local newspapers by people who endorse Sheila Grilli:

Editor:
Every year, Diablo Valley College places among the top three among the 106 community colleges in the state in transferring students to the University of California. This data comes from the California Postsecondary Education Commission.

DVC is a state leader because it has an excellent faculty and staff and because the governing board of the college district has a long tradition of valuing sound finances and of placing the interests of students above everything else.

Sheila Grilli, who is running for re-election to the governing board, represents the best of this tradition.

She is intelligent, hard working, fiscally prudent and a proven champion of what is beneficial for our students and for Contra Costa County.

Her concerns extend to Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, Contra Costa College in San Pablo, the San Ramon Campus and the centers in Brentwood and Walnut Creek.

Please join me on Nov. 7 in voting for Sheila Grilli.
