My education and qualifications are: The needs of our district have always been important to me. Born and raised in Lodi, I am a lifetime farmer. My wife and I have raised our family here. This district is our home. I truly know its needs, have the experience to do the job and pledge a full time commitment to this office.

I represented this district as supervisor from í71-í74 and have remained involved in our community as a Delta College Trustee for the last 31 years, where I voted to return over $5.5 million to the taxpayers through reduced tax rates, while promoting this excellent community resource for education. I have a history of frugally managing taxpayer dollars. I believe that government should operate like a business; that the tax burden should be reduced; that we need tougher crime measures and more protection for our families and property; that the farming industry is critical to our local economy and we need to keep our water here; and that we need to give businesses an incentive to locate here by reducing fees in order to create jobs and boost our local economy.

I will bring many years of experience and a strong commitment to our district.

Mi educación y calificaciones son: Las necesidades de nuestro distrito siempre han sido importantes para mí. Yo nací y me crié en Lodi y he sido agricultor durante toda mi vida. Mi esposa y yo hemos criado a nuestra familia aquí. Este distrito es nuestro hogar. Conozco verdaderamente sus necesidades, tengo la experiencia de hacer el trabajo y prometo comprometerme a tiempo completo a este cargo.

Representé a este distrito como supervisor desde 1971 hasta 1974 y participo todavía en nuestra comunidad como síndico de Delta College desde hace 31 años. En ese puesto, voté a favor de devolver más de $5.5 millones a los contribuyentes mediante reducciones en las tasas de impuestos, mientras que promovía éste excelente recurso comunitario para la educación. Tengo un historial de administrar el dinero del contribuyente económicamente. Creo que el gobierno debe funcionar como un negocio; que la carga tributaria debe reducirse; que nos faltan medidas más rigurosas contra el crimen y más protección para nuestras familias y propiedad; que el sector agrícola es esencial para nuestra economía local y que necesitamos retener el agua que tenemos aquí; y que tenemos que motivar a los negocios a establecerse aquí mediante una reducción en las cuotas que tienen que pagar, y de esta manera generar empleos e impulsar nuestra economía local.
