Brandon Sulser, a native of Sunnyvale, is currently in his second term on the Sunnyvale Planning Commission.

Brandon went to college at George Washington University in Washington, DC where he studied International Relations. When not in class he had internships for Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher and the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, a liberal gun control advocacy group. After graduating Brandon moved back to Silicon Valley and began volunteering at the Community Law Center in East San Jose where he helped out in the worker's rights clinic and the immigration law clinic.

Brandon has always identified with the Democratic Party and was active in College Democrats at George Washington University. After college he was Vice-Chair of the Peninsula Young Democrats. Brandon was also Vice-Chair of the Coalition of Bay Area Young Democrats.

Brandon has been an alternate to the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee since 2001. At the 2003 assembly district caucuses, he was elected a member of the Democratic State Central Committee. He is currently Secretary of the 22nd Assembly District Committee.

In 2006, he was appointed to the Executive Committee of the Loma Prieta Chapter of the Sierra Club, where he has served on the Chapter Finances Task Force. Brandon is currently Vice-Chair of the Sustainable Land Use Committee. In the past he has been active on the Loma Prieta Chapter's Political Committee.
