Questions & Answers

1. What would you do to increase the number of voters registered in your party?

I am encouraging grassroots partcipation in the party through neighbor-to-neighbor precinct captain programs. I am on the board of Grassroots Champions, which supports this program statewide. One of our goals is to make sure that precinct captains register new neighbors to vote. In addition, I continue to lead communication efforts to promote voter registration activities in Santa Clara County.

2. What would you do to help the campaigns of candidates of your party?

I provide communication infrastructure for the Santa Clara County Democratic Party that is used by candidates to promote their activities. I lead a media outreach team that promotes candidates endorsed by the party. In addition, I help candidates get their information to the clubs and activists in the county through our interactive calendar and newsletter. I also walk precincts for candidates, including national, statewide, and local.

3. Why did you become a member of this political party?

The Democratic Party fights for values that are important to me and my children. I support a society that provides equal opportunity, protects our precious environmental resources, offers universal health care, and helps those that are less fortunate.
