1) Get good candidates to run for public office. Most Santa Clara county democratic candidates run unopposed. We need to cultivate good candidates! We can't change the political landscape of Santa Clara if we don't have candidates in office.

2) Fundraising! Unfortunately elections are won or lost because of money. We need to do a better job of raising campaign funds to help our candidates win.

Answer from Peter S. Soule:

I have been actively involved in fundraising efforts on behalf of candidates and will continue with those efforts.

As a G.O.P. City Team Leader in San Jose District 9, I have built a team of precinct and neighborhood leaders to turn out the Republican vote freeing candidates to focus on Decline to States and Democrats. I will continue to build the San Jose District 9 team and assist other G.O.P. City Teams to do the same.

Recruit volunteers to work in local campaigns.

3. Why did you become a member of this political party?

Answer from Ed Rowen:

I am a Republican because I believe in the rights of men and women to be free and because I love this country. I am proud to call myself a Republican and I am a follower of Ronald Reagan and Abe Lincoln.

Answer from Peter S. Soule:

The Republican Party believes in freedom for the individual, in hard work, low taxes, limited government and a strong national defense.

Answer from Joyce D. Rabourn:

I believe in the core Republican philosophy: minimal government, individual responsibility, strong national defense.

Answer from Eric D. Madison:

I have always been a person who is conservative in nature. I believe that this great country was built by men and women who believe in the three basic principles of hard work, ingenuity, self reliance.

Anyone can achieve anything in this nation if they believe in themselves and have a clear goal. I believe the fundamental values of the Republican Party are built upon this, that's why I am a Republican.
