War On Terror

It was a mistake to go to Iraq.
I was opposed to going to Iraq even before we went in. I doubted that Iraq had weapons of mass distruction. There was no sign of orginized terrorism there.

What convinced me even more was when my 40-year-old nephew in the Washington National Guard was sent to Iraq and told horror stories of lack of proper body armor and driving around in unarmored Ford Explorers. He said the food service was terrible, provided by guess what private contractors.

Now the current administration has hinted that they are looking at entering Iran. Such actions would destroy our economy. What can theses people be thinking?

We can not afford these oil company wars in both economic and human costs. Diplomacy must be restored as the means of resolving conflicts.
