A Computer Systems Engineer by trade, Caro G. Avanessian is a spokesman for the Democratic Party within the Armenian Community as he is a spokesman for the Armenian Community within the Democratic Party. Caro was the President of one of the most prestigious Democratic organizations, the Glendale Democratic Club from May 2004 - May 2006. His political activism goes back to the George McGovern Presidential Campaign in 1972, plus he's worked on Presidential campaigns for Jerry Brown, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and John Kerry. As a community activist, Caro is past President of the Dubnoff Center Parent Association. Caro is fully fluent in Farsi, Armenian, and English. He is a regular contributor to the Op-Ed and Letters to the Editor page at the Glendale News-Press. His recent letters protesting Glendale's selection of Ken Starr as speaker at the city prayer breakfast brought this issue to the forefront in the Glendale area.
