Every weekday, nearly half of El Dorado Co residents migrate down the hill to their jobs. With the growth that has taken place and the explosive growth that is coming, no single factor has the potential to degrade the quality of life for El Dorado Co. residents that traffic congestion. The key to managing traffic congestion is transportation planning through mass transit. I offer a plan of short, near, and long-term measures

Economic Development is necessary to supplement revenues to fix the infrastructure and provide for services e.g. police protection, emergency services, etc). With a rapidly growing senior population, residential development placing stress on local roadways, and a looming financial crisis of unfunded retired county health benefits, additional revenues will be necessary. But there are major obstacles to attracting business to El Dorado Co.
- Affordable and Adequate Housing for All

A demographic shift is taking place as baby boomers are beginning to retire in mass and there are insufficient young workers to replace them. At the same time, escalation of real estate prices has made home ownership unreachable for young families. These young people are our future teachers, health workers, and police officers. They are our own children. Housing options are also lacking for seniors.
