We cannot afford to hand over the keys to U.S. strategic ports to a regime that recognized the Taliban. The U.S. has been on the verge of turning over operations of six of our major ports to the United Arab Emirates Government. At least two of the 9/11 hijackers were from there and the UAE was one of only three countries in the entire world to formally recognize the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. Congress must intervene or the UAE-owned company will soon take control of facilities in the ports of New York, New Jersey, New Orleans,Miami, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. We cannot afford to hand over the keys to U.S. strategic ports to a regime that recognized the Taliban. That's why this letter, from the former Executive Director of the U.S. Seaports Commission is relevant to our campaign. Dear Eric: I am honored to endorse your candidacy for the 50th Congressional District Special Election on April 11th. We need leaders like you in Congress. Red China wanted to take control of the Long Beach Naval Shipyard when it was decommissioned and the U.S. Seaport Commission had to rally members of Congress in order to stop them, which we did! We know first hand why it is important to have congressmen who have not sold out to the special interest lobbyists, but rather put the interests of the American people first. Once again we have a company run by a foreign government about to take control of six of our ports. Your election to Congress in this Special Election will send a strong message to Washington, DC that this is simply not acceptable. I really appreciate your pledge to NOT take any money from PACs or committees that have taken PAC contributions. There are far too many members of Congress today who are not listening to the interests of the voters because they have accepted these political contributions and gifts. I hope this pledge and your election begins a trend that spreads rapidly across this great land. Please let me know if there is any way that I can be of service in helping with this important election. Sincerely, John E. Stoos, Executive Director, Ret. U.S. Seaport Commission |
