End Tax Waste and Non Target Spending

We must join forces to plan better for the future. We can save tax money if we plan carefully and establish a collaborative effort between Trustees and Residents.

My position on taxes is that the Trustees have an obligation to assure that money is being spent the way the voters have decided and assure we are getting the best value for our money.

I believe the Trustees have a serious duty to execute the following steps:

1. Study the budget and identify areas for improvement.
2. Facilitate creating a new budget if the current information is deemed inadequate.
3. After such studies, trim the areas where taxes are surplus to requirements.
4. Construct tax proposals to strike a balance between spending and benefits -

specifically - benefits for the whole township rather than for the benefit of a few.

If elected, I will execute the above steps. I also plan on installing a budget tracking device that is accessible and understandable to the residents. This will provide the system with a tool for checks and balances.

For the past four years I was a member of the Sycamore Schools Planning Commission, and head Chair for the last two years. I gained a great perspective and respect for Symmes residents from their tremendous willingness to volunteer. It is a waste not to use this free resource. The Symmes community is willing to do work for no cost that other communities have to pay for.

I will not ignore the intelligent and hard working resource of the residents, many of whom have college degrees or higher.
