Candidate for
Council Member; City of Norwood; Ward 3

Hello! I'm Amy Hoosier, the Republican candidate running for council in our newly formed Ward 3! I am excited at the opportunity to possibly serve our community on city council in the upcoming year and wanted to share with you, the voters, some of my background and experience.

My family includes my husband Steve (a Norwood native), our step-daughter Alex (a Holy Trinity grad) and our son, Kai, who is 4 years old and loves Norwood soccer!

My husband and I own two homes in Norwood and are very committed to preserving our homes' values and seeing that Norwood's housing market remains vibrant and strong!

My professional background consists of my 12-year employment at USA Today newspaper, where I am Regional Marketing Manager. I currently manage the sales department for a 4-state region and my responsibilities include expense and budget management, strategic planning and targeting, high-level customer interaction, sales, and personnel management.

I am very committed to Norwood's future and enjoy living in our great community. There are some tough issues facing Norwood and its leaders in the upcoming year, and I believe that my experience, common-sense approach, and dedication to true representation of the Ward 3 community's views and values is what Norwood City Council needs!

I want to ensure that Norwood's vitality remains strong for many more years to come, as well as stabilizes itself for those of us living here now!
