Questions & Answers

1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

My family and I have lived in Madeira since 1978. I have been active in the community coaching sports, and for the past 10 years have served on the Planning Commission. I understand the issues that face Madeira, and want to become an active governing part of its future.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

A budget-value analysis will ensure that current income is being spent intelligently, and that services important to the community are maintained. The need for added income is clear, however, and we must determine the most equitable method of raising what is required to stop the drain on reserves. Park land is scarce; we must continue to apply for grants and seek partnerships that will allow us to enhance what we have. Lastly, to maintain and grow a healthy business core, I will strengthen existing programs to support existing businesses, and will expand our communication program to encourage more growth.
