Education is Everybody's Business !

The following issues are important to me:

Community Engagement

Our schools are an integral part of every neighborhood. School Safety, affordable housing for teachers, public transportation, and the possibility of shared resources such as libraries, educational centers and recreational facilities are in everyone's best interest.

My experience as a Ventura Planning Commissioner will give the School Board the unique perspective it needs for building strong partnerships with the City, the school district, local businesses, and the broader community.

Partnerships in Education

The success of our schools depends on the support and resources we provide to our teachers, administrators, and staff. With the addition of business partnerships, parent involvement, and securing rant funding we can improve the caliber of public education for our children.

As a business owner, I understand the critical need for educated professionals and employees. I will work diligently with local businesses to become more engaged with our schools through tutoring programs and contributions of needed resources.

Academic Achievement

The measure of a well educated student does not rest with how our children do with school testing alone. It includes how well-rounded a citizen they will be as they become productive and self-sustaining members of our society. The health and safety of our children are critical components just as cultural enrichment is through art and music programs.

As a parent, I am concerned that our children receive an education that includes nutrition and other health related subject. I also sees tremendous value in partnering with local cultural and arts communities.
