"More than 44,000 students attend school in the Foothill-De Anza Community College District, and the district has an annual budget of approximately $200 million. Those two facts by themselves are enough reson for voters to pay attention for this four-way race for two seats on the district's board. .... "We recommend Bruce Swenson and Laura Casas Frier." ... "We are most enthusiastic about Swenson, who retired from Foothill six years ago as vice president of finance, and a mathematics professor."
