Palo Alto, CA ADMINISTRATIVE AND TEACHING EXPERIENCE 12 Years in Community College Administration Vice President, Finance, Foothill College 1994-1999 Division Dean, Physical Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Division, Foothill College, 1990-94 Led departments of mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering, earth sciences, and aviation. 20 Years in Community College Teaching Mathematics Instructor, Foothill College,1967-1989 Taught the full range of mathematics courses from basic skills to differential equations. Developed departmental curricula. Served on shared governance committees working on issues including accreditation, finance, faculty hiring and evaluation procedures, and College's goals and objectives. HIGHLIGHTS OF ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE Vice President, Finance Enrollment Management, including meeting College's enrollment and productivity goals, allocating part- and full-time faculty positions to divisions. Budget, including allocating materials, supplies and casual labor budgets, developing College's long-range budget plan, allocating College-wide discretionary funds, monitoring and controlling expenditures across the College. Facilities, including allocating classroom and other space to divisions, determining maintenance and facilities upgrade priorities, and developing a long-range facilities plan. Administrative Services, including supervising part-time faculty payroll, personnel, communications, printshop and schedule. Chairperson, shared governance "Educational Resources Committee," charged with determining "Guiding Principles" used in allocating budget, facilities, and faculty and staff positions. Acting College President (in President's absence) each Fall Quarter. Representative of College Management to Faculty Negotiations Other Duties, including serving on the College's lead shared governance committee (the "Roundtable"), serving on management classification committee, and carrying out ceremonial responsibilities such as Master of Ceremonies at graduation. Division Dean, Physical Science, Mathematics & Engineering Division Hired, evaluated, scheduled and supervised 24 full-time and 50 part-time faculty and staff in the Division. Initiated and updated Division curriculum. Allocated and monitored Division's discretionary ("B") budget. Ensured compliance with safety and hazardous materials regulations (particularly in chemistry). Represented the Division to College-wide management.
