Prorities on wanting to eradicate the growing influence of prostitution,drugs, and gangs on the eastside.Instead of the money being allocated to build prisons for our youth, we need to have money allocated to insure a brighter future for our youth by having build a cultural performing arts center to give our youth direction. Many of our youth have talent but do not have an outlet to express themselves so they have a desire to join gangs the only thing left in the neighborhood for them to belong to. I would also plan to have job training,alternative eduation,job training programs & drug rehabilitation for teenage mothers and prostitutes. What is also needed on the eastside is to increase a neighborhood watch program to help decrase the growing problem of gangs,prostitution and drugs. Hiring more policemen and encouraging them to live in our neighborhoods so they wont looked upon as outsiders. |
