Candidate for
Board Member; Banning Unified School District

I have resided in Banning for more than 20 years. My husband of 34 years, Larry, is a principal of Hesperia Junior High School. We have three sons, all of whom have graduated from Banning High School, after having attended Banning schools for their entire education. E.J. has his PHD and is working in cancer reasearch at the Ciy of Hope, Scott has his Masters and is working toward his PHD in education at USC, and Jonathan is working toward his teaching credential at UCR.

I'm currently a Banning School Board trustee. I have served as President twice and once as Clerk and have served as a trustee for 8 years. My past community involvement's include Cub Scouts, Soroptomists, Playhouse Bowl chairperson, and a member/officer of Banning elementary, middle, and high school school site councils/parent/booster organizations.

I have a BA degree in Sociology and I hold a lifetime teaching credential for community colleges. I have created curriculum and I have taught child development classes at Chaffey Junior college.

I have been the manager of a local Banning travel agency for over 10 yrs. I am a Certified Travel Counselor.
