By Wanden Patricia Treanor

Candidate for Board Member; Marin Community College District

This information is provided by the candidate
My Ballot Statement, which was printed in English and in Spanish, is attached:
I am committed to serving College of Marin so that it will continue to provide quality education and workforce training for all students and continue to pursue additional educational partners for our IVC campus.

The Board of Trustees has made difficult decisions in the past four years as we chartered a new course for the institution. I am proud to have served as Board president in the year we completed a facilities master plan, hired our new college president, and achieved the successful passage of a general obligation bond.

The passage of this facilities bond and the adoption of the Board's sustainable building resolution will ensure that our learning environments are accessible, energy efficient, and equipped with appropriate technology for today's learners.

While we have much to be proud of, we must diligently address enrollment challenges and maintain fiscal stability. With student success central to our mission, I will keep pushing that this essential public institution be more responsive to serving our students' needs.

I want to continue to work to ensure that this community asset thrives for generations to come, successfully responding to the educational and workforce training needs of Marin.

I ask for your support and your vote. (End of ballot statement)
