Educational Excellance in our Schools

By Ross McKenna

Candidate for Board Member; Kentfield School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Education is the most essential tool we can make available to our children. Our classrooms must continue to create the most comprehensive and positive learning environment for our children.
I want to be your representative on the Board of Education because education is the most essential tool we can make available to our children. Our classrooms must continue to create the most comprehensive and positive learning environment for our children.

As the responsible father of a first grader, I want to ensure that we continue to have the most unparalleled school district in the state. Since the state has not honored previous financial commitments, the burden of maintaining an exceptional level of education falls on us. Our district is abundant with generous parents and an extremely active Foundation. As board members, we must be fiscally responsible in administering funds to strike a balance between providing the most extensive curriculum to boost student achievement and to attract and retain exceptional teachers.

My background in education, management and construction has provided me with the foundation to help achieve excellence in education. While counseling executives, I experienced first hand how the choices we make in our early life dictates our future. I am committed to working closely with the administration, the Foundation, the PTA, the Superintendent, parents and students to provide leadership and support to reach our common goal-to benefit our children.
